Happy Fourth of July!!

Fourth of July falls on a weird day this year, Wednesday. Most people work Monday - Friday, making it hard to celebrate right smack in the middle of the week! When it falls earlier or later in the week many people take a long weekend, but a Wednesday????? Most of us can't take the whole week off, so when do you celebrate?? The weekend before, the weekend after, just on Wednesday if you have off? Maybe all those days!!!! Well however you celebrate I hope you have fun!

This year my mother's annual Fourth of July BBQ was June 30th, this past Saturday. As usual it was a success. Tons of friends and family eating, drinking, laughing, bouncing on a trampoline, playing volleyball, and catching up with people you haven't seen since the year before. Our kids always have a great time!!! It is fun to watch all of the kids running around, playing together, and getting a little bigger every year. It won't be long before some of them stop coming, they will have better things to do, or work to go to. They will bring girlfriends or boyfriends, drive their new cars over, and be too cool to hang out with us. So I treasure these few years when they all still wanna come, and no one kid is too cool to hang out with the other, and going with mom and dad is not awful yet.
