A day in the life of ME!

Two quick stories I couldn't resist sharing....

I took two of my beautiful children with me to school the other day to register for a class I wanted, the older one and the younger one. It is June so the building was not very busy at all, how much trouble can they really get into? HA! It is boring for them, and I understand so I did what I needed to do and was on my way out. Stepping out the door I realized I had one quick question I wanted to ask about my summer class.

"Wait right here guys I just want to ask that lady a question."

Well they waited right there, and it was only a minute.....BUT within that minute my daughter found the little red fire alarm box AND PULLED IT! It was uncovered and on the wall just about her height, so why not pull it? Flashing lights and the loud BEEP BEEP BEEP proceeded. The entire building had to be evacuated and the fire department called. Lucky for me it was beautiful outside, there was more staff than students, and they were happy to get the break. They actually thought it was funny! I did not.
"Mommy! I did not knoooooow that was gonna happen!"
Was all she kept saying to me as I refused to talk to her for the entire ride home. She may not remember that moment when she is older but I can guarantee I will.

Flash forward to the last day of school, which was yesterday. The boys come home and they are all sorts of wound up. I unfortunately was doing a bunch of yard work and could not entertain them. They were bored already! Welcome Summer. My middle child is the one who likes to be outside the most, so he hung outside with me while I finished up my yard work. When it was time for me to make dinner I asked him to turn the hose off, and I went inside. A little while later my daughter comes in to share with me one of her brothers is up to something. I walk towards the front door and see the front porch is wet again so clearly he did not turn the hose off. I open the front door to yell at him to turn the hose off and my foot lands in a puddle of water INSIDE my house! A toothless face appears smiling and pointing at his brothers shoes just inside the front door, "Shhhhhh!" he then says. That middle child of mine decided it would be a good prank to fill his big brother's shoes with water from the hose before he turned it off. Lucky for him he chose to only do his brother's shoes. So there were the poor kids shoes lined up by the front door all filled with water. LOL Kinda funny, KINDA! Cause there was also a mess to go along with it. I guess next time I will turn the hose off myself. This should be quite a summer.

I leave you with a picture of my three little devils, who are clearly good at appearing innocent.

DON'T BE FOOLED!
