Half-Way There!

Nine years old!

How is it possible that Monkey of ours has turned Nine!!
Nine years has passed and I can't believe it. Nine more and you will be Eighteen..... :). I wish I had started this blog so long ago and I could look back for more of those Nine years.

You are (currently) the one who challenges me the most, who teaches me the most about being a parent, and who shows me the most about love. You are also the one I currently worry the most about. You fight us tooth and nail about everything!! Maybe that is an age thing, maybe it is a personality thing, maybe it an oldest child thing. I don't know, but I worry. I worry you will miss out on things on your mission to fight with us about EVERYTHING!! I worry I will not give you what you need to motivate you to be successful. I worry I am too hard on you, and at the same time I worry I am not hard enough. I could go on but I think I've made my point, LOL.

For your birthday this year we took you to a Hibachi restaurant. You LOVE food, and had a blast. Nine apparently is too old to order off of the kid menu for you. You have been insistent upon ordering off of the adult menu lately. You take after your Dad that way, you eat anything, and lots of it! You ordered Red Snapper, and ate almost every last bite. You also tried some sushi with your Dad and I, you weren't crazy about it but you tried it. At the end of the meal they came out with a big gong and sang to you! It was hysterical! And you loved it! We also took you and some friends that weekend to a place called Rascal's. You were able to play video games there, laser tag, bowling, rock climbing, skee ball, ect.. A busy, fun place you all enjoyed.
Enjoy the pictures...

Presents from your brother and sister in the morning

Family picture at the Hibachi restaurant...LOL

Nine big old candles!

After cake and presents we had to finish your social studies project on the Lincoln Memorial. I have no intention on saving these projects you guys make over the years so I will always take pictures. I hope that is good enough for you :). You and Dad did a great job, and Aunt Lisa stayed and helped with the stairs. It was fun for all of us. I hope you always remember it that

So many things to blog about...

I never get enough time to blog....

The days go by so quickly before I know it it's been two months. Everyone here is doing well. Busy but well!

It is officially Lacrosse season, and this year both boys are playing so we are terribly busy with that! We managed to get the Bear onto the team even though he was technically too young and I am glad because he enjoys it. Our Monkey is also playing for the first time this season, and although I don't think sports will ever be his favorite thing, he plays and enjoys being part of the team. Dad has been coaching, which he enjoys.... most of the time. He struggles a lot with coaching his own kids but I think that is natural.

Turtle is doing dance and gymnastics, stay tuned for the blog about dance because that deserves it's own post.

We took them to The Museum of Natural History a few weeks ago on spring break and they all had a blast. It was very expensive, of course, but worth the trip. They were very excited by the dinosaurs! I think it was the first time they have seen something like that inperson. Fun!

She is a Diva....everywhere she goes!

Getting them to stand together was like pulling teeth!

DUM DUM was the highlight!
The best part for me was how they would giggle and point and be all stupid when they came across exhibits that had naked men or women in it. "Mom! Mom! Look...!" and then a ton of giggles. LOL
