A New Year!

A NEW YEAR!?! What the hell happened to the old one?

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's! But really can you believe it? 2008! I'm not done with 2007 yet, and I don't know what I want from 2008. It can't be the 12Th of January!

Seeing as I'm stumped for what to expect for the new year I thought I'd take this opportunity to remember a few good moments from 2007 before I say good bye to it, 12 days late.

The kids visited their grandparents in upstate NY this past summer and had a great time! My in laws live pretty far away and we do not get to see them much. It always makes me happy when the kids get time with them. AND I had 3 WONDERFUL days to myself!

I took the kids to Crystal Cave over the summer, caught this moment. The trip itself was just OK but the pictures were so good it made it worth it.

The bear and I in between football and soccer games. We all had a good time with the boys fall sports this year, one played soccer and the other football and Jace coached for both.

Zita! I know I have shared about Zita and how much we enjoyed having her and still miss her.

My grandma turned 80! My aunt, uncle, and cousins came up from Florida to celebrate with us. I do not get the chance every year to see them and very much enjoy the moments we do get together.

These poor kids! LOL I never miss an opportunity to push them together and make them all smile for me, over and over again till I get the picture I want! As you can see their father is starting to enjoy this tradition also.

On New Year's Eve the five of us went out to dinner and ate for hours! It was a wonderful time. The monkey even stayed up that night, after his $17 dollar shrimp and scallops meal, to watch the ball drop! He wasn't really impressed but it was a first for him either way.

I saw friends get married, some graduate, and a few fall in love. I went back to school, hit golf balls, fertilized my lawn all by myself for the first time, baked a castle cake, had the pleasure of coming across the most memorable park bathroom ever, had each one of my kids wake me up and crawl into bed next to me, and each one of them tell me how stupid they thought I was. So although this year was not perfect I hope I will always remember it for its' beauty and not sorrow.
